Dominic Thiem vs Stefanos Tsitsipas

Dominic Thiem will play against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final in the Nitto ATP Finals and we got a Tennis forecast for that match. The game is on Sunday, 17 November and will not start before 18:00 UK.

Dominic Thiem world number 5 will have the chance to end his season with the title in London. He deserved his place in the match for the trophy after beating in the group stage first Rogers Federer in 2 sets and then a little harder Novak Djokovic after an epic battle in 3 sets in which the 3rd set ended after a tiebreak. His final game in the group was against Matteo Berrettini and he lost from the Italian but Thiem was already qualified to the semifinals and doesn’t play his best tennis. In the ½ final he played against Alexander Zverev who won the tournament last year but the Austrian beat him 2:0 sets 7-5, 6-3 and now will have the chance to grab the prestigious trophy after already won on hard the titles in Beijing and Vienna.

Stefanos Tsitsipas world number 6 was not among favorites to advance to the semifinals before the tournament began. But after he beat in his first match Daniil Medvedev in straight sets that changed and then the Greek also won his second game in straight sets against Alexander Zverev which meant that he will play in the ½ finals. His final match in the group was against world number 1, Rafa Nadal and Tsitsipas lost it 1:2 sets. In the ½ final Stefanos was an underdog against Roger Federer but won that game in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 and now will have the chance to end his great season with a title in London.

Six times had played Thiem and Tsitsipas and the Austrian lead with 4 wins. Their latest match was again a match for a trophy in Beijing a little more than a month ago and Dominic won that title after beating 3-6, 6-4, 6-1. The Austrian is a favorite and I think that he will beat again the Greek and grab the Nitto ATP Finals title. Tennis forecast: Dominic Thiem to win
